This page explains what Olvane collects and why.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address, optional name, and a hashed password.
• Mail you send and receive, and the contacts you add.
• Technical records: delivery results, API request logs and the IP address of API requests.
• Public website icons for domains you add, shown as logos in your dashboard.

How we use it

Only to provide the service: delivering mail, showing you your data, protecting the service from abuse, and contacting you about your account. We don't sell your data or use the content of your email for advertising.

Who can see it

Your account's data is separated from other customers. Administrators can see account details and delivery results, such as a recipient's domain and the server's response, in order to run the service and stop abuse. The servers are provided by Contabo.

How long we keep it

• Mailbox contents stay until you delete them or close your account.
• Raw copies of messages are kept for up to 30 days.
• API logs are kept for up to 90 days, and webhook delivery records for up to 30 days.

Cookies

We use one cookie to keep you logged in. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.

Open and click tracking

Customers can choose to turn on open and click tracking for email they send. It's off by default.
